Acting for Musical Theatre IA
This class open to students in 1st through 3rd grade. It is a great blend of performance and exploration centered around the exciting world of musical theatre. Students will get to flex their acting and singing muscles all while taking on challenging scenes from some of the most popular and beloved musicals. Solo and ensemble work will be a large component of this class, as well as helping students find a better understanding of musical theatre structure and audition techniques. This a great class for those interested in our Main Stage JR theatre program!

This class open to students in 6th through 8th grade. It is a great blend of performance and exploration centered around the exciting world of musical theatre. Students will get to flex their acting and singing muscles all while taking on challenging scenes from some of the most popular and beloved musicals. Solo and ensemble work will be a large component of this class, as well as helping students find a better understanding of musical theatre structure and audition techniques. This a great class for those interested in our Main Stage theatre program!
Acting Improv I
This class is for students in 1st through 5th grade. So much of what we do as performers isn't based on words or choreography but our own instincts. This Improv class helps students learn how to work together, hone their own instincts and provides an amazing outlet for all their energy and imagination. Through guided exercises, students will develop their own 30-minute show that is so new it hasn't been written yet!
Main Stage JR Production (Cast A)
This class will solely focus on the Spring semester's Main Stage JR Production and is open to students in 1st through 5th grade. All students in this class are required to enroll in a second acting class as a supplemental component. Students will rehearse and craft the show in a semi-professional atmosphere, while learning the importance of ensemble, responsibility, professionalism, and community as it relates to all areas of theatre. Students are required to attend all rehearsals including tech week and shows. Students and parents will sign a contract committing fully to the class once casting is set. Please note this class meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45-5:00pm. **Director's approval needed prior to registering for this program.**

Dance Technique
This class is designed for students from 6th to 8th grade and builds strong foundational skills in various techniques. Students will learn proper alignment, flexibility, musicality, and coordination while exploring choreography and developing confidence. Perfect for dancers of all levels who want to grow, move, and express themselves.
Performance Dance I
This performance-based dance class is for students in 1st-4th grade. Students work with various choreographers, diverse types of instruction, and different dance styles to become versatile dancers. Students advance faster due to more focused training and gain more confidence. These students also have the opportunity to perform in our local community in October, February, and April.

These students have the opportunity to perform in the community in February and April.

Playmaking I
This class is open to all students in 1st through 5th grade. Students will work together to create a brand-new short play. They will begin by learning basic theatrical storytelling through games and activities. Students will then develop their own characters and include them in a clear, fun, and totally unique story to be presented at our Annual Play Festival at the end of the semester.
Shakespeare I
This class is open to students in 1st through 5th grade. Get ready to play with some of the most iconic characters and stories in all of theatre history! Students will bring the classics to life, learning some of The Bard's most beloved stories through improv, movement, and scene work. This is the perfect introduction for young actors looking for a fun, new challenge!
Shakespeare II
This class is open to students in 6th through 8th grade. Take the fear out of Shakespeare! Students will learn how to make sense of the text and connect with stories that still resonate today. This class will focus on scene work, allowing actors to explore character through movement, voice, and ensemble activities. Learn to love The Bard and have fun doing it!
Songwriting
This class is open to students in 6th through 8th grade who are looking to express themselves creatively through music and lyrics! Students will immerse themselves in lyric writing, song structure, chord progressions, and melody creation to create a song that they can be proud of. No experience is needed, just a love for lyrics and a willingness to be bold and brave! This class will culminate in a performance of student-written work.
Technical Theatre I
This class is open to students in 1st through 5th grade. This class will focus on the off-stage aspects of theatre production. Students will learn about the numerous roles required to create theatre magic, including design and backstage management. Students will gain skills in set design, stage management, and running crew. The class will culminate in a presentation of the students' strongest designs and skills.
